Special Red Day

7:50am – 8:15am CST: Advisory

Thought for the Day

Let us not limit our interests to the narrow confines of a particular house, a province, or our own country.  This would be egoism and self-seeking.  Rather let us be one with all our houses, and regard none as a stranger to the one in which we live.(Blessed Basil Moreau, CSC - Circular Letter 174)

Freshman Parent Meeting Tonight

Tonight, Monday, January 7, 2008 there will be a meeting for parents of the Class of 2011 at 7:30pm in the Theatre. The purpose of this meeting is to give parents important information regarding the upcoming Winter Dance. If Freshman parents did not attend the Mothers Club meeting with the speakers from Community of Concern, this meeting is mandatory. Parents who did attend that meeting will also find the Pre-Dance meeting valuable. Please contact Mrs. Hoffman or Mrs. Grajeda for more information.

Pro-Life Club

There will be an important Pro-Life Club meeting on Wednesday, January 9 at 2:35pm in Room 200. All members should attend. We will be collecting names of those students who will be attending the March for Life on Tuesday, January 22 on the Pro-Life Club bus. You need not be a member of the club to attend the March, but you do need to pick up, complete and return a permission slip in order to attend. For more details, please see Mr. Petruzzelli.

Calling for Desserts!

Sophomores – desserts are needed for the Winter Dance. Brownies and cookies are the best to donate. You may bring them to school on Friday, January 11 or Saturday, January 12 from 9:00am – 1:00pm. Bring you baked goods to the cafeteria and be sure they are marked “Winter Dance”. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Hendon.

Sunday Basketball

There is still time to register for the 2008 AHC Sunday Basketball League.  All levels are welcome to play and we are hoping for more Freshmen and Junior participation!  Registration forms can be picked up in the school lobby and are due by Wednesday January 9th to the Business Office. The cost is $65.

Winter Dance Tickets

Tickets for the Winter Dance, “Gingerbread”, will be on sale from Tuesday, January 8 through Friday, January 11 during both lunches. The cost is $20.00 per ticket. Permission slips for the dance will be available in the Lobby today. Permission slips must be completed and signed before you can buy a ticket. Please see Mrs. Hendon with any questions.
