Be a Leader

If you are a serious student who is committed to service and social justice, you are encouraged to apply for the Girls Leadership Workshop at the Eleanor Roosevelt Center in New York. This is your chance to develop leadership skills, travel to New York City and learn about the role of women in government and politics. This program is open to all 9th and 10th grade students and takes place over the summer. Please see Ms. McDonald in room 117 for an application and further information.

 

 

ITS and Tri-M Meeting

Attention ITS and Tri-M members: our monthly meeting will be this Thursday, January 10th in Room 250. ITS will meet from 3:15pm to 4:00pm and Tri-M will meet from 4:15pm to 4:30pm.  Please see Mrs. Ruszkowski with any questions.

 

 

A Great Opportunity!

All Latinas ages 14-17 are invited to attend the "Convening of Latina Youth Leaders" sponsored by the Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital from March 17-19 at Catholic University.   This free conference

program is designed to inspire Latina youth to recognize their own abilities and become active in their schools and communities.   You do not need to be involved in the Girl Scouts to attend this program.   If you are interested in applying to this program, please see your counselor by Friday, January 11.

 

Winter Dance Tickets

Permission slips for the Winter Dance are now available at the Receptionist Desk. Your permission slip must be completed and signed before you buy a ticket for the dance. Freshmen – please remember to log on to the Community of Concern website and complete the form before you buy a ticket. Tickets will be on sale Wednesday through Friday during both lunches. Tickets are $20.00 each. Please see Mrs., Grajeda if you have any questions.

 

Step Team News

Step Team members – there has been a change of time and location for practice tomorrow, Thursday, January 10. Practice will be held in the Gym from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. Please see Mrs. Ruszkowski with any questions.
