Great Opportunity!

Attention Hispanic Juniors & Sophomores:  Do you have a 2.5 or higher GPA? Would you like to develop your leadership skills, get a jump start on your college search, interact with local/national leaders and have a lot of fun? Music Class Auditions

Students interested in taking any of the advanced music classes during the 2008-2009 school year must attend an audition session next week. Auditions for Show Choir, Honors Show Choir, Madrigals and Honors Madrigals will be held during both lunches on Tuesday, January 22 and Wednesday, January 23. All auditions will be held in the Theatre. Please see Mr. Yuran for more information.

 

 

Looking for Leaders

If you are a serious student who is committed to service and social justice, you are encouraged to apply for the Girls Leadership Workshop at the Eleanor Roosevelt Center in New York. This is your chance to develop leadership skills, travel to New York City and learn about the role of women in government and politics. This program is open to all 9th and 10th grade students and takes place over the summer. Please see Ms. McDonald in room 117 for an application and further information.

 

 

“Frog and Toad” Reminder

Auditions for the Spring musical, “A Year With Frog and Toad” will be held on Tuesday, January 22 at 4:00pm and Wednesday, January 23 at 3:00pm in the Theatre. Students should sign up on the callboard for an audition slot. All students auditioning need to pick up the required paperwork from the callboard and bring it, completed, to auditions.

Students Enrolled in a Theatre Class:  Students should sign up for a slot on Tuesday, January 22 and prepare a one minute monologue, as well as 16 bars of a song. Students should also attend dance auditions on Wednesday, January 23.

Students NOT Enrolled in a Theatre Class: Students should sign up on the list for auditions on Wednesday, January 23 and prepare nothing! Be sure to bring comfortable shoes and clothes for dance auditions. Plan to stay until 6:00pm.
