Happy Birthday Blessed Basil Moreau
Yellow Day
9:15am – 9:25am Advisory

Thought for the Day

To understand love we look to Mary’s heart which was the tenderest and most loving heart imaginable, after the heart of the Savior Himself.           – Blessed Basil Moreau, CSC

On This Day

February 11 is a special day of faith-filled commemorations. Not only is it Father Moreau’s birthday, but it is also the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. As part of the Feast day celebrations, Mrs. Katie Page, former AHC Theology teacher, will be honored at the Basilica of the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception as one of the living miracles from Lourdes. Mrs. Page was cured of a deadly cancer while visiting Lourdes as a teen. Mrs. Martino will be present at the ceremony at the Shrine today.

As Valentine’s Day Approaches…

Please remember that, due to space and staff limitations, the Academy can not accept deliveries of balloons, flowers, etc. Please tell any loved ones who might want to remember you on Valentine’s Day to send your gifts and flowers to your home, not to the school. You’ll have something to look forward to opening when you get home!

French Club

Come and enjoy today’s French Club meeting – help plan the activities. The meeting begins at 2:45pm in room 208. Please see Ms. Schatten for details.

Tag Day!

The Women’s Health Club is sponsoring a Tag Day on Valentine’s Day, Thursday, February 14. The $2.00 fee will benefit the American Heart Association – February is Heart Month. Did you know that women are six times more likely to die of heart disease than of breast cancer? Wear red on Valentine’s Day and support the cause!

NHS Application

Need help in preparing your NHS application? There will be a short advise session on Tuesday, February 12 at 2:40pm in room 200. Questions? Please see Dr. Vanover.

In Recognition…

February is Black History Month. In recognition of the many accomplishments and gifts that Black Americans have added to our nation throughout the centuries, we offer words of wisdom from those who have left us a rich legacy.

Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome while trying to succeed.           Booker T. Washington
