Thought for the Day

The values of the heart will influence knowledge and put it to good use. – Blessed Basil Moreau, CSC

From the Women’s Health Club:

February is Heart Month. Proceeds from today’s Tag Day will benefit the American Heart Association. Did you know that heart attack symptoms differ in women and men? Women often do not have severe chest pain; they experience indigestion, neck, shoulder, upper back and abdominal discomfort, shortness of breath and lightheadedness. Thanks to all who have contributed to Women’s Heart Health by supporting this Tag Day.

From the CSC Office:

Remember to stop by and drop your spare change in the “Change for Change” boxes. Boxes are located by the cash registers in the cafeteria during both lunches, at the receptionist’s desk in the lobby and in the CSC Office (room 114). Please be generous.

Students who volunteered at the Columbia Road Health Clinic or helped wrap Christmas gifts for the needy with Ms. Green need to get her signature on their service chart. Remember – your service paperwork is dur on February 21 and 22.

Taking the Test?

The Theology Honors Placement Test will be given on Tuesday, February 19 from 2:45pm to 3:30pm. Be sure to see Mrs. Martino this week if you have a conflict on that day.

In Recognition…

February is Black History Month. In recognition of the many accomplishments and gifts that Black Americans have added to our nation throughout the centuries, we offer words of wisdom from those who have left us a rich legacy.

If the first woman God ever made was strong enough to turn the world upside down, these women together ought to be able to turn it right side up again.         - Sojourner Truth
