A Celebration

Tomorrow, Tuesday, April 8, we will celebrate our 2008 Teachers of the year – Ms. America Billy and Ms. Margaret Mackinnon. We will also recognized the members of our faculty and staff who are marking special anniversaries here at the Academy: Mrs. Judith Hoffman (35 years), Mrs. Patricia Yeager (25 years), Mrs. Claudia Harkins (15 years), Mrs. Martha Schlabs (10 years) as well as Mr. Jose Baquierzo, Mrs. Hilda Coward, Mrs. Louise Hendon, Mrs. Donna Byrd, Mrs. Colleen Fogarty, Mr. Michael Levins, Mr. Lee Power, Mr. Antonio Olivares and Mrs. Lita Zubiate who have been here for 5 years. Please join us in congratulating them and thanking them for their service to out community.

 

 

Early Dismissal

Tomorrow is an Alt Purple 1 Day, with dismissal from school at 1:35pm. All students are expected to leave school as soon as possible after the 1:35pm bell. Students waiting for the bus to the softball away game and those students still waiting for a ride home after 1:45pm MUST re[port to room 130 (next to the Athletic Office) and remain there until they leave the building. Students will not be allowed to wait in the cafeteria, auditorium, courtyard or hallways.

 

 

La Vida

There will be a La Vida meeting today at 2:35pm in room 224. This will be a follow-up to last Monday’s meeting. All La Vida members are required to attend. Please see Ms. Billy if you have any questions.

 

 

Notes From CSC

Students interested in the leadership training program, “Spark the Wave” should sign up with Mrs. Stowe in Guidance.

 

Students who aren’t sure if all their CSC paperwork is in for their service projects need to speak directly to Ms. Brennan in room 114 after school.

 

We are 3, 850 sandwiches away from beating our record! Only two more Thursdays to go. The Sophomore class and the Junior class are neck-and-neck for the top prize. Make those sandwiches and bring them in!
