Thought for the Day

Our houses will always be open to the stranger, as will our hearts.

                                                        - Blessed Basil Moreau, CSC

A Special Day

On Thursday, April 17, we will be celebrating the Pope’s visit to Washington at two venues – the National’s Stadium and here at school.

Students going to the Papal Mass will need to bring their school ID and be in perfect spring uniform. You must be at the school by 5:00am or you will miss the bus. Be sure to bring money to purchase lunch.

Students who will be at the school celebration will not need to bring books, book bags or any class materials on this day. This will be an out of uniform day – with restrictions. We will have guest speakers with us, so wear comfortable slacks or nice jeans; no sweatpants, no shorts or short skirts (no skin above the knee). We will be outside in the morning, so DO NOT wear flip flops or sandals – your feet will get wet. A free lunch will be provided for all.

No matter where you celebrate with us, we hope you enjoy the day!

Taking AP Exams?

All students taking AP exams MUST attend one pre-administration session. The session takes about 25 minutes and starts at the beginning of lunch so please see Ms. McDonald before you get your lunch.  Sessions will be held in the Auditorium this week at the following times:

Tuesday, April 15th during E1 and E2 lunch

Wednesday, Aril 16th during E1 and E2 lunch

Retreat Leaders Wanted

Campus Ministry has received a good number of applications for next year’s retreat leadership. While the application deadline has passed, we will continue to accept applications until the end of this week. If you have an application to submit, please bring it to the Campus Ministry office (room 114) by Friday, April 18. Please see Ms. Kinney if you have a problem.

Final Round

The final round of the sandwich battle is this Thursday, April 17. The winning advisory will have an out of uniform day on May 1 – so get those sandwiches in. The Sophomores have a lead over the Juniors, but can they keep it up? Stay tuned…
