Student Resource Center
The Academy’s Student Resource Center (SRC) is designed for motivated students who have been diagnosed with mild learning disabilities. The goal of the SRC is to help these young women to develop strategies around their individual challenges and to help these students define their individual learning styles, assessing work habits which contribute to or impede their academic progress.
The primary focus of this program is to assist students in their core courses through the use of varied teaching styles and strategies that focus on skill development, in such areas as organization, study skills, or note-taking. Students discover their unique learning styles and how they best take in and retain information. The teachers in the SRC are experts who keep up with educational trends and new learning strategies. They work regularly with faculty colleagues to share those strategies and develop teaching plans for individual students.
