Honor Societies

The AHC Performing Arts Department is proud to offer students the opportunity to participate in the following nationally recognized honor societies:

 

The International Thespian Society honors excellence in high-school theatre. Students who have earned membership in this honor society have shown dedication to the theatre arts and the AHC Performing Arts Department.  Members of this society meet throughout the year to discuss events, workshops, special projects, and other ways to celebrate theatre within the AHC Community.  For membership information, please contact Mr. Dale Placek, Director of Theatre; current AHC students should visit the Useful Forms page in the Student Portal.

 

 

The Tri-M Music Honor Society is the international music honor society for middle/junior high and high school students. It is designed to recognize students for their academic and musical achievements, reward them for their accomplishments and service activities, and to inspire other students to excel at music and leadership.*  This group meets regularly throughout the year to discuss and rehearse for performances, special projects, and other ways to celebrate music within the AHC Community.  For membership information, please contact Ms. Laura Meehan; current AHC students should visit the Useful Forms page in the Student Portal.

 

Nu Delta Alpha, a national dance honor society, is designed for dance education students, dance educators, and professional dancers to express their devotion to the art form by sharing, recognizing, and promoting dance education within schools and communities.** This group meets regularly throughout the year to discuss and rehearse for performances, special projects, and other ways to celebrate dance within the AHC Community.  For membership information, please contact Mrs. Stephanie Wendell; current AHC students should visit the Useful Forms page in the Student Portal.
