Construction is wrapping up on the new 20,000-square-foot St. Angela Athletic and Wellness Center at the Academy of the Holy Cross. This transformative project, made possible through the incredible generosity of our community, represents far more than bricks and beams - it’s an investment in our students’ well-being, growth, and school spirit.
What to Expect On Campus
Pardon Our Progress: Construction Is Underway
As work moves forward, we want to ensure that all families are prepared for some on-campus changes.
Expect increased construction activity, temporary shifts in parking and traffic flow, and adjusted access points throughout the project timeline.
While there may be a few detours, the destination is worth it. We’ll continue to provide updates and reminders to help keep everyone informed and ensure daily life at Holy Cross runs smoothly and safely.

The Athletic and Wellness Center will Feature:
- A state-of-the-art gymnasium
- Bleacher seating for 400+ supporters
- A fully equipped fitness center
- Modern locker rooms and team facilities
- An outdoor bocce court and new practice field
- Expanded parking and event spaces
This new center isn’t just about competition - it’s about community. It will serve as a vibrant hub for athletics, wellness programs, school events, and student life, empowering every girl to thrive physically, emotionally, and socially.

STEM in Action
Through our ConstructED program, students will have the opportunity to connect with the professionals designing and building the St. Angela Athletic & Wellness Center.
Through design sprints, site visits, and mentorship, students explore the principles of architecture, engineering, and design—gaining insight into how vision, creativity, and technical expertise come together to shape the spaces where we learn and live.
