Field Hockey opened the season with a competitive match at Good Counsel before earning its first victory against Bishop Ireton — the program’s first WCAC conference win in more than four seasons! Goals came from Lily Rivera, Daniela Antonelli, Jojo Liberta, and Reilly Boylan, with Alaina Hilton recording more than 10 saves. The team hosts Bullis on Tuesday, September 8, at 5 p.m. and travels to St. James on Thursday, September 10.

Cross Country placed second overall at the Landon School Ferris Invitational, with five Tartans finishing in the top 20 and three earning medals. The team has a bye this week and will compete at the Georgetown Prep XC Classic in two weeks.

Volleyball hosts Georgetown Visitation today in the first-ever volleyball match in the St. Angela Athletic & Wellness Center. JV begins at 4:30 p.m., followed by Varsity at 6 p.m. Wear purple + tie on teal in support of student Jessi Stofa. 

On game days, students and spectators should enter and exit through the main gym doors from the Lobby. The back hallway by the locker rooms and offices is reserved for teams, coaches, officials, and athletic training staff. Restrooms and concessions are available in the Lobby.

Soccer hosts St. James on Wednesday, September 9, and Madeira on Thursday, September 10. JV will host Rochambeau following the Varsity match on Thursday, September 10, at 5:30 p.m.

Tennis opens its season today at Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School with a 4 p.m. start.

Fall Sports Team Photos will be taken after school on Tuesday, September 15. Tennis and Equestrian photos will be scheduled separately.

Tartan Golf Classic is Monday, September 21, at Manor Country Club. Registration closes in one week!
