Madeleva Scholars Program

The Madeleva Scholars Program is a three-year program that brings together service, academic inquiry, and Catholic Social Teaching. Scholars explore a social issue connected to their own service experiences, investigate its root causes, and consider how faith can inform meaningful solutions.

From Experience to Action

Madeleva Scholars move through three interconnected areas of study:

SERVE - BEGIN WITH EXPERIENCE.
Engage in meaningful service and reflect on the needs and challenges of the communities they serve.

INVESTIGATE - LOOK BENETH THE SURFACE.
Identify a social issue connected to their service and research its root causes, history, and impact.

RESPOND - CONNECT FAITH WITH ACTION.
Apply Catholic Social Teaching to their research and develop a thoughtful, faith-informed response to the issue.

Madeleva Capstone

The three-year program culminates senior year with the Madeleva Capstone, where scholars bring together their service, research, and Catholic Social Teaching to explore a social issue and propose a meaningful response. Scholars present their work at Madeleva Scholars Night.
