Each student enrolled in SMP receives an individualized Student Learning Profile (SLP) that outlines reasonable academic accommodations based on documented learning needs attained through a full psychoeducational testing report. Accommodations may include extended time for testing, use of technological support, answering directly on an assessment (no scantron), the use of Notability, text-to-speech, short structured breaks while maintaining the same academic standards as all Holy Cross students.

SMP provides direct instruction in executive functioning skills, including organization, planning, prioritization, time management, and task completion. These skills help students become more confident and independent learners.

Students have access to assistive technology and other learning resources that support organization, comprehension, productivity, and academic success, as appropriate to their individual needs.

A key goal of SMP is to help students become confident self-advocates. Students learn how to communicate with teachers, understand their accommodations, seek assistance appropriately, and take increasing ownership of their learning.

Yes. SMP staff collaborate closely with the School Counseling Department, teachers, administrators, and families to support each student's academic, social, and emotional well-being.

No. SMP provides accommodations and targeted academic support but does not modify curriculum, course expectations, grading standards, or graduation requirements. Students are held to the same academic expectations as all Holy Cross students.
