Scholarship Opportunities
Guided by our mission, Holy Cross recognizes applicants whose spirit, talent, and leadership will help shape and strengthen our community. All ninth-grade applicants are considered for scholarships, awarded for four years as long as recipients remain in good standing.
Merit Scholarships
Presidential Merit Scholarship
$20,000 (over 4 years)
The Presidential Scholarship at The Academy of the Holy Cross is the school’s most prestigious academic award. It is granted to young women who rank in the highest percentile on the High School Placement Test (HSPT), maintain an exemplary academic record, and consistently demonstrate intellectual curiosity and leadership. Recipients of this award are automatically enrolled in the four-year Sancta Crux Honors Program, where they engage in advanced coursework and leadership opportunities that challenge them to grow as scholars, women of faith, and leaders of tomorrow.
No separate application is required. All applicants are automatically considered for the Presidential Scholarship based on the materials submitted with their admissions application. Scholarship recipients will be notified of their award by mail in February 2026.
Principal’s Merit Scholarship
$12,000 (over 4 years)
The Principal’s Merit Scholarship at The Academy of the Holy Cross recognizes outstanding young women who display strong academic achievement, intellectual curiosity, and meaningful engagement in extracurricular and service pursuits. While recipients may not rank in the very top percentile, they exemplify leadership, integrity, and a commitment to serving others. Principal’s Merit Scholars embody the spirit of Holy Cross by striving for excellence, taking initiative in their learning and activities, and serving as role models within the school and broader community.
No separate application is required. All applicants are automatically considered for the Principal Scholarship based on the materials submitted with their admissions application. Scholarship recipients will be notified of their award by mail in February 2026.
Fine Arts Scholarships

Performing Arts
Scholarship
$6,000 (over 4 years)
Theatre, Dance, and Vocal Music Scholarships at The Academy of the Holy Cross are awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional talent and commitment in the performing arts. Recipients receive a $1,500 scholarship per year, renewable for four consecutive years based on continued participation and growth in the theatre program.
Auditions are held Saturday, January 31 and may be scheduled online after the admissions application deadline.
Visual Arts
Scholarship
$6,000 (over 4 years)
Visual Arts candidates must submit a digital portfolio of 4-5 pieces of artwork. Preferably the selections should be created from at least two different mediums, (for example: acrylic, watercolor, pencil, charcoal, clay, mixed media, sculpture, etc.).
All applicants must indicate their area of interest on the admissions application. Studio Art experience and an in-person portfolio review will take place on Saturday, January 31.
All applicants must select one area of focus: Dance, Theatre, Vocal, or Visual Arts. Applicants may apply for only one scholarship category.
