The Academy of the Holy Cross Athletics has announced the appointment of new Head Varsity Coaches for the Tartan Basketball and Lacrosse programs, respectively. With a shared mission-centric vision and desire to lead our student-athletes, Keith Smith and Molly Burnett bring a wealth of experience and expertise to their new positions.

About Coach Keith Smith:

Keith, a Long Island, NY native, had prior spent the 2023-24 season as The Academy’s Associate

Head Coach of the Tartan’s Varsity Basketball team. In his first year at the Academy, the program took great strides with 13 wins, a significant and notable improvement from 3 wins the previous season.

Prior to joining the AHC community, Keith spent the previous three seasons at St. John’s College High School in Washington, D.C as Varsity Assistant and JV Head Coach. Previously, his career also included working at Rock Creek Christian Academy and Bishop McNamara High School. Keith is the Head Coach and 16U Director of the Grassroots Basketball organization ‘Team Thrill’, an Under Armour affiliate in the DC/Baltimore Metro area. His experience as well as his footprint within our region’s grassroots & high school basketball landscape provide optimism for the future of Tartan Basketball.

Coach Mark Jackson will continue to serve the AHC Basketball program in an operations and coaching capacity and is deeply appreciated for his guidance of the program as the Interim Head Coach for the 2023-24 season.
