Coaches

Head Coach
Coach Pla joined AHC in 2018. Since joining the Tartans, his athletes have set and reset numerous school records for cross country in each distance from the 3,000m to the 5,000m. Coach Pla has coached numerous athletes who have gone on to run in the collegiate ranks both for the Varsity team as well as club running teams. He has been involved with running for over 30+ years! His training philosophy is always Athlete Centered; Coach Driven; and Science Based.

Assistant Coach
Karen Kincer joined the coaching staff in 2022. A former college distance runner, she continued her involvement in the running community as an adult and is a certified RRCA and USATF Running Coach as well as an RRCA Certified Race Director. She has previously directed both youth and adult running programs, numerous road races, served as the President of the Montgomery County Road Runners Club and served as the Chair of the Countywide Recreation and Parks Advisory Board.
