Varsity Volleyball

Coach Geiser is entering his 14th year as the varsity volleyball coach. He has led the Tartans to ten consecutive WCAC conference finals in 2012-2019, and 2021-2022 (no playoffs in 2020 due to Covid-19) and six WCAC championships 2013-2017. Coach Geiser played volleyball with Coach Maynard at Cornell University and competed in USA Volleyball at the A/AA level for many years. He is the U12 Coordinator for the Montgomery Village Sports Association (MVSA) Volleyball Club and the MVSA U12 Vortex team. Coach Geiser has coached club volleyball for twenty years at the U12, U13, U14, and U15 age groups and has taken twelve club teams to compete at the USAV Junior Nationals. Coach Geiser teaches PLTW engineering courses at The Academy of the Holy Cross.

Coach Van Lowe is entering into her 8th season at The Academy of the Holy Cross. She coached JV for two seasons and has spent the remaining time as an assistant to the Varsity team. Coach Van Lowe has both a long and diverse playing experience: nine years for the Montgomery Village Sports Association (MVSA); four years on the Watkins Mill High School varsity; two years on the Towson University club team; and over a decade in grass and beach doubles. Coach Van Lowe has coached at ages ranging from U10 to U16 with MVSA club volleyball teams. Coach Van Lowe is currently an administrator in a healthcare facility.
