Coaches

V Head Coach
Coach Mongelli joined AHC in 2021 as the Head Swim Coach. He brings with him a lengthy background in the sport, where he has coached with Georgetown Prep, Nation’s Capital Swim Club, Aqua Hoya Swim Club, and the Archdiocese of Washington. Coach Mongelli has been coaching at Georgetown Prep for 25 years, and has been the Head Coach for the past 15 years. In 2015 he was inducted into their Athletic Hall of Fame. He has been awarded WMPSSDL coach of the year three times, most recently in 2019. He was also named All-met Coach of the Year twice, most recently in 2019.

V Assistant Coach
Coach Depman joined the AHC coaching staff as assistant coach for Varsity and Junior Varsity Swimming and Diving in 2021. She is a life long swimmer competing in the Montgomery County Swim League and for Academy of the Holy Cross '87 and Loyola College '91. She has been active volunteer in youth swimming for 15 years and am USA Safe Sport certified. Coach Depman is the proud parent of an AHC graduate, Eiley '23 and current AHC student Megan '25 both of whom are AquaTartans.
