It's September...which means that the start of the 2017‒2018 academic year is here. Our girls returned for classes on Monday, August 28 and hit the ground running!

We are very excited and looking forward to our 150th Anniversary celebration and the many events surrounding this milestone. Be sure to mark your calendar for the following events this fall and please plan to join us as we celebrate 150 years of Holy Cross!

Heritage Hall Open House
11:00 am-2:00 pm and 4:00-6:00 pm

Come see the new Heritage Hall display. Visit with Sister Grace (Shonk), CSC from 1:00-2:00 and 4:00-5:00 pm.

Sunday, September 24

Anniversary Mass at Saint Matthew the Apostle Cathedral

3:00 pm

Join us to celebrate the beginning of our yearlong celebration at the location of the Academy's founding. His Eminence Cardinal Donald Wuerl will be the principal celebrant of this special liturgy. A reception will follow in the Great Hall.

Invitations to the Opening Mass were sent electronically on Friday, August 4.

If you have a class group of alums who would like to be seated together at the Mass, please let us know by Friday, September 15 and we will be happy to reserve a pew for your class. We will need the number attending and the class year.

If you are a past member of the Madrigal ensemble (or just love to sing!) and are interested in joining the choir for the Anniversary Mass, we would love for you to join us! Please contact Linda Ruszkowski at lruszkowski@academyoftheholycross.org for more information.

Heritage Hall Dedicated

On Wednesday, August 30, the Academy's new Heritage Hall was dedicated following the Opening Mass of the school year. Six priests, including Msgr. John Enzler and Msgr. Ray East celebrated the all-school liturgy.

Class of 2021 Mother-Daughter Legacies

The Class of 2021 began their year with orientation on Wednesday, August 23. Before the day got underway, the mother-daughter legacies posed for a group photo.
