The Distinguished Alumnae Awards are presented to alumnae who have distinguished themselves by giving witness to the mission of The Academy of the Holy Cross and exhibiting the ideals of an alumna of the Academy in their daily lives.

Recipients of this award should:

1.     Demonstrate the characteristics of a graduate of the Academy by being women of courage, compassion, and scholarship;

2.     Demonstrate unusual professional or personal accomplishments that embrace the social, spiritual, and intellectual challenges of the world; and,

3.     Distinguish themselves as caring, Christian women.

Nominations are due by Monday, October 1, 2018.

The Academy of the Holy Cross Athletic Hall of Fame was established in 2012 to honor individuals and teams who have made a significant positive impact on Holy Cross athletics. Those inducted serve as the cornerstone of what the school believes is a truly representative group of the proud tradition of Holy Cross athletics. The Academy of the Holy Cross is proud to recognize and honor outstanding individuals and/or teams who have accomplished extraordinary athletic achievements. Nominees from all sports will be considered on an equal basis, as will posthumous candidates.

Nominations are due by Saturday, December 1, 2018.

The Holy Cross Fund

School has started!  There are many ways that you can continue to support Holy Cross and stay connected!

We hope that you will get involved—and will say "yes!" when we ask for your gifts of support!

  • The most important fundraising initiative at the Academy is the 2018-2019 Holy Cross Fund. We ask every member of the community to make a gift as they are able. Gifts help "bridge the gap" between tuition revenue and the cost of educating a Holy Cross student. Your unrestricted gift allows us to direct your donation to our most critical needs; however, should you prefer to designate your donation to a specific area, we are happy to accommodate that request. The Holy Cross Fund runs from June 1-May 31, our fiscal year. Your gift—large or small—is important.

    Special giving "opportunities" include:
    • Holy Cross "Day of Giving" (Friday, September 14)
    • Giving Tuesday (Tuesday, November 27)
    • Tartan Challenge (May 1–31)

  • Two major fundraising opportunities are sponsored by the Academy and we hope you will support these events – join the fun and/or volunteer. All proceeds directly benefit the operating budget and ultimately, our girls! Mark your calendars!
    • Holy Cross Golf Classic – Friday, September 21 at Argyle Country Club, Shotgun Start at 10:00 am
    • The Annual Benefit Auction & Gala – Saturday, April 6

  • A planned gift to Holy Cross can be made through bequest, insurance, remainder trust, etc. Please contact the Advancement Office if you would like more information about being part of the "Legacy Circle."

  • A capital gift is any contribution designated for a specific long-term initiative, such as a building renovation or endowment. Although we are not currently in a capital campaign, we will have opportunities for donors to participate in the next phase of campus improvements in the near future

If you have questions or would like to learn more about the many ways you can support the Academy, please feel free to contact Charly Ryan at (301) 929-6447 or
