Flynn O’Hara stores have re-opened, but shipping could be delayed. Please consider purchasing school uniform items sooner than later, especially to take advantage of Flynn O'Hara discounts.
The Holy Cross uniform includes:
- Gray skirt or tailored gray pants
- Dark purple, lavender or white polo shirt (short- or long-sleeved); a white collared oxford shirt or white turtleneck
- Sneakers or low solid-colored closed-toed and full backed leather shoes
- Optional zip-up dark gray fleece jacket, dark gray quarter-zip, or an optional sleeveless gray vest.

All 9th graders read the same English book, regardless of level: The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd.

Class of 2024 Skill and Content Refresher Course:
A few spots remain for the non-credit, free virtual class designed for the Class of 2024. During the week of August 17-21, students will have the opportunity to freshen up their English (8:30-11:30 am) and Math (12:30-3:30 pm) skills, gain experience with the online learning system and interact with teachers and classmates.
iPad Pickup and Tech Training – Two-Step Process:
Step One (Only Incoming Non-Summer School Students):
On Monday-Tuesday, August 10-11, between 9:00 am to 12:00 noon, incoming non-summer school students are required to pick-up their iPads. Please use Main Entrance #1
Step Two (ALL Incoming Students, Including Summer School Students):
Once the student has picked her iPad, then she will participate in a Virtual Technology Training Session (Student Portal, Student PowerSchool, and other software).
Students will receive a virtual meeting invitation with a Google Meet Link in their Student Email from dmaye@academyoftheholycross.
Assigned participation sessions are as follows:
Last Names Beginning with A-F: Wednesday August 12 from 10:00-11:00 am or 1:00-2:00 pm
Last Names Beginning with G-O: Thursday, August 13 from 10:00-11:00 am or 1:00-2:00 pm
Last Names Beginning with P-Z: Friday, August 14 from 10:00-11:00 am or 1:00-2:00 pm

Ordering Books and Electronic Books
Students should have their textbooks on the first day of class. Information will be available about textbooks on the "Back-to-School" page on the school portals by Friday, July 24. Please refer to the book lists on the portal first to get a complete list of books that will be required for each class. Here there will be instructions for the purchase of each book. Many of the books will be purchased from Follett but there are several that will be purchased directly from the publisher or from iBooks. Please review the instructions carefully. The Follett Virtual Bookstore will be open beginning Monday, July 27.

All Class of 2024 and incoming Transfer Student families should have received an email with a letter attachment from our Registrar, Kristen Pawlowski, on Tuesday, June 16. This important letter includes new, updated login information for your Parent Portal and Parent PowerSchool. Please review this letter! Online Emergency/Health Update 2020-2021 Form Due Thursday, July 23
Please complete the required Online Emergency/Health Update 2020-2021 form by Thursday, July 23. Log in to your Parent/Guardian PowerSchool, select the Online Emergency/Health Update 2020-2021 icon in the bottom left hand corner and proceed. If the Online form is not completed and submitted by Thursday, July 23, then your daughter's PowerSchool will be locked and she will not have access to her schedule, grades and attendance until the form is completed. The Student and Parent/Guardian XLNTbrain registration instructions are available here. ALL students and parents/guardians are required to register for an XLNTbrain account. Baseline concussion testing is MANDATORY for ALL students trying out for a team sport. Baseline concussion testing is OPTIONAL but RECOMMENDED for all other students. Please download and read the Concussion Protocol Letter. Parents/Guardians and students are required to abide by all the terms and conditions of the Concussion Protocol Letter and the XLNTbrain registration instructions.

Schedules will be available in PowerSchool beginning on Monday, July 27. If the Online Emergency/Health Update form is not completed and submitted by Thursday, July 23, then your daughter's PowerSchool will be locked and she will not have access to her schedule, grades and attendance until the form is completed. Scheduler Maureen James will be available to make schedule changes by email at email@example.com. The last day for schedule changes will be Friday, September 18. Please bear in mind that changes to yearlong courses cannot be made in the Spring semester, and any changes to Spring semester courses are more easily made before the September 18 date.
Holy Cross has done an amazing job helping me discover what I am capable of in every capacity, not only in my classes, but in every other chance that has presented itself. I am so confident and excited to push myself even further in the future thanks to the resources that Holy Cross has given me.
