Freshman Retreat welcomes our newest Tartans to the Holy Cross family! Get Your Purple On!

In Their Own Words

Holy Cross was the perfect decision for me.

The all-girls environment has opened so many doors. The variety of classes I’ve taken over the past four years guided and prepared me. The relationships that I have built with peers and teachers have led me to finding my voice and participating in positions of leadership in and outside the classroom. – Sam’21

Through my time at the Academy, I’ve had the chance

to make new friends, try new sports and be a class leader by serving on the Honor Board. I’ve always felt accepted, happy and welcomed by my classmates, and I hope that you feel that way too! – Mira '21

As I look back on my four years at the Academy,

I think about how much I have grown as a person. I came into my first day of freshman year as a shy, quiet girl, but now, I am strong and courageous and getting ready to graduate as an empowered girl who can speak up for herself, and advocate for others. The supportive community we have here at Holy Cross has taught me to be brave and caring for others. Among the students, the teachers, and everyone in our community, there is a place for you to feel accepted. Holy Cross has prepared me well, and I am ready to go out into the world to make a difference. Now, it is your time to come along on this journey to becoming an empowered Holy Cross girl. – Dani '21

Becoming a Holy Cross girl helped me grow

into the confident young woman I am today. The all-girl school environment gave me endless support day after day and enabled me to feel comfortable asking questions, to see that my interests and opportunities are limitless, and to always take on new challenges. Holy Cross is a school that makes sure every girl feels accepted and special from the moment you walk through the door. Each person in the community cares about you and knows your name. I know that Holy Cross will forever be my second home and because the Holy Cross community encouraged me to dream big that I will achieve my goals as I go on to college and take the next steps toward my future. – Caroline '21
