Congratulations to the Class of 2021 students who were inducted into the Holy Cross honor societies during a virtual ceremony on Wednesday, September 24.
In Glee Choir, Madrigal Singers, or the student-run A Cappella Club, singers participate in choral performances ranging from the spiritual to the secular. In addition to their winter and spring concerts, choir students sing regularly at school masses, assemblies, and community gatherings -- and have traveled to festival choruses and joint productions with choral groups from neighboring schools throughout the greater Washington, D.C. area. In recent years, these well traveled musicians have taken the stage in the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, The Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle in Washington, D.C.; The Washington National Cathedral; and the Andrew Rankin Memorial Chapel at Howard University, and accomplished singers frequently represent Holy Cross at All-State and Honors ensembles.
Students study, rehearse, and perform choral music in an advanced ensemble. They explore advanced vocal techniques in both solo and ensemble settings, and they interpret music from all major musical eras, including music in foreign languages as well as contemporary music. The group performs publicly many times throughout the year, including at school liturgies and other functions. Attendance at these events is mandatory for all students in this class.

Tri-M Music Honor Society
The Tri-M Music Honor Society is the international music honor society for middle/junior high and high school students. It is designed to recognize students for their academic and musical achievements, reward them for their accomplishments and service activities, and to inspire other students to excel at music and leadership. This group meets regularly throughout the year to discuss and rehearse for performances, special projects, and other ways to celebrate music within the Holy Cross Community.
