Dynamic Minds

Women of intellect.

Apply math concepts to building bridges. Earn college credit in creative writing. Construct a toothpick bridge in the science lab. Spend time shadowing a medical doctor, civil engineer, or teacher. Work with faculty to write a research paper on forensic science, sports rivalries, or Civil War literature. Show the world what a woman of intellect can do.

Raquel's Story

Academics at Holy Cross

We educate girls who will become women of courage, compassion, and scholarship for the world. Our challenging curriculum and supportive faculty present opportunities for every girl to make real-world connections, build on existing knowledge, demonstrate mastery, and view her mistakes as beneficial. The 1:1 iPad program allows us to seamlessly integrate technology into the classroom, facilitating and enhancing learning while encouraging creativity and innovation.

Students benefit from our tiered class structure and expert faculty, who know each girl’s individual learning style and tailor the curriculum to ensure each student fully comprehends the material.

Holy Cross girls achieve a 100 percent college acceptance rate and attend some of the top universities in the country.

Learning for college and life.

Holy Cross believes in education that prepares students to solve problems they will face in the real world beyond our campus in Kensington, Maryland. Every Holy Cross senior completes a 60-hour, off-site internship with professionals in a career that interests her. Our Project Lead the Way Engineering Program, 1:1 iPad Program, and state-of-the-art laboratories reinforce the importance of STEM education at Holy Cross.

Our girls challenge themselves. They excel in a full course load, including our rigorous Honors and AP classes, and explore their passions through specialized online electives. They earn college credit from Marymount University through our on-campus dual credit/dual enrollment classes. Madeleva Scholars work one-on-one with faculty mentors in honors-level classes and on capstone research papers.
