The Empowered Girls Campaign

Empowered Girls Campaign

The #EmpoweredGirls campaign at the Academy of the Holy Cross is the school’s current capital initiative, aiming to upgrade our grandfathered facility to meet ADA regulations and construct a new 20,000 square foot Athletic and Wellness Center to meet the needs of today’s competitive athletics programs.

Upgraded

Athletic Facilities

Since the establishment of the current gym in 1966, the Academy has experienced remarkable growth, expanding to 26 teams across 16 dynamic sports. However, our existing facilities have struggled to keep pace with this evolution and are now insufficient to support the needs of our thriving athletic programs.

Enhanced

Sports Center

The new center will include bleacher seating for 400 fans with additional seating provided when needed, a fitness center, locker rooms, and an outdoor bocce court, along with additional parking and a practice field. This facility is designed to enhance the sports program, create a communal space for events, and elevate school spirit, which is crucial for attracting and retaining student-athletes.

Support

Our Campaign

To bring the #EmpoweredGirls campaign to fruition,
we still need approximately $2 million in donor commitments.

We invite you to consider making a multi-year pledge to this initiative.

By committing to a sustained contribution, you will play a crucial role in transforming our facilities and enriching the athletic experience for current and future generations of students. Your support not only enhances our sports programs but also fosters a sense of community and pride within our Academy. Thank you for considering this opportunity to empower our girls and elevate our school spirit!

For more information about how you can make an impact, please contact Emily A. Kasof, President & CEO.

As one student mentioned in a small-group listening session, “If we just had bleachers that would allow students to cheer at games. School spirit at Holy Cross would soar!”
