Be empowered – no matter where you are.

Empowering Girls to Become Women of Courage, Compassion, and Scholarship

Our commitment to encouraging young women of courage, compassion, and scholarship remains the same. For over 150 years, Holy Cross has risen to the challenge of delivering a spiritual and intellectual education to incredible girls. Today we meet the present challenge by fulfilling our mission with our hybrid learning model for the 2020-2021 school year.

While our campus is open to visitors by appointment, our admissions team would also like to offer you a glimpse into our community of empowered girls and our beautiful campus through our virtual visit. Holy Cross is still accepting applications for the 2020-2021 school year - please reach out to the Admission team with interest. We look forward to connecting with applicants for future school years as well.

Every Holy Cross girl knows she is valued as an individual with unique talents and aspirations.

The Academy of the Holy Cross prepares girls to feel confident taking academic risks, leading their peers, and standing up for their beliefs. Guided by our Catholic faith and the mission of the Sisters of the Holy Cross, we believe in the power of academic excellence and the potential of selfless generosity. We value interactions with every student and strive to educate the mind, body, and spirit of each girl in the unique way that she learns best.

Our girls embrace challenging academics with a global perspective, top-notch athletics teams, performing arts productions, social justice opportunities, and dozens of extracurricular activities. Every Holy Cross girl completes an internship in a career that interests them at prestigious organizations, such as The Washington Post, NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, and National Institutes of Health (NIH). And, they receive the tools and the support they need to thrive in college, including at renowned institutions like Cornell, M.I.T., Yale, and Notre Dame.

Above all, every Holy Cross girl knows she is valued as a scholar, an athlete, an artist, and most importantly, an individual with unique talents and aspirations. Teachers, staff, and coaches tailor their instruction for each student, ensuring our girls are empowered to go out and better the world.
