On Saturday, May 8, the Holy Cross celebrated the Performing Arts Gala at an in-person event with students in the theater and families, friends, and other supporters on Zoom. This annual event honors students’ hard work and accomplishments in classes, clubs, and after school productions, and features senior speeches, highlight videos, and special awards for students who have especially excelled in the arts during their time at Holy Cross. Eligible students are also inducted into the three Performing Arts honor societies: ITS (International Thespian Society, for theatre), Tri-M (Music), and the National Honor Society for Dance Arts.
This year, the top award—the Performing Arts Cup—was presented to Caroline Bloodgood ’21, who began with Holy Cross Summer Stock in 2014, and has performed as a singer, actor, dancer, drummer, as well as more recently working backstage as our production audio engineer and sound board operator.
