Holy Cross Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

The Holy Cross community celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month beginning on September 15 and culminating on October 15. Activities included morning prayers said in Spanish, bulletin board and hallway displays of influential Hispanic Americans, quotes from notable Hispanic leaders in morning announcements, and the monthly all-school Mass organized by the student members of the Spanish Honor Society. The celebration culminated in an all-school assembly on Friday, October 15. The students created a presentation with statistics about the school community, interesting facts about Hispanic culture, food, influential leaders, music and dance. Students demonstrated several different types of dances and modeled traditional dresses. The assembly concluded with a trivia contest.
