Kelsea Saulny ’22 Commits to Play Volleyball at Virginia State

Kelsea Saulny ’22 has officially committed to play volleyball in college. An official commit happens when a college-bound student-athlete agrees to play sports for a college and has signed a National Letter of Intent. The commitment is binding on the student-athlete and the school.

Kelsea will play at Virginia State University (NCAA Division II), under the direction of coach Amanda Walker. Kelsea is a three-year varsity starter at The Academy of the Holy Cross and has played club volleyball for six years. She served as co-captain of the varsity volleyball team her senior year and was a recipient of the Coach Sheehan Award for Excellence.

Kelsea says that she is beyond grateful for this opportunity and is excited to further not only her volleyball career but her academic career as well. “I am not only grateful for the family, friends, and teammates that have helped to get to this point, but I am also grateful for my coaches. Coaches Jeff and Dado Singer, and Coach David Geiser. These coaches not only helped to develop me as an athlete but have also helped to develop me as a woman of courage, leadership, and compassion. They taught me things that I will carry with me not only during my time at Virginia State, but for the rest of my life.”
