Piper Sullivan ’21 Commits to Play Field Hockey at Towson

Piper Sullivan ’21 has given a verbal commit to play field hockey at Towson University. High school athletes who give verbal commitments agree to play sports for a college before signing a National Letter of Intent. As a goalie for Holy Cross Piper has 437 year-to-date saves. Her goal is to break 500 in her senior year. She is ranked #1 in saves by The Washington Post. In 2019 she was named WCAC All-Conference Second Team. Piper also is a member of the Warhawks Field Hockey Club in Howard County, MD, and is ranked #6 in the country in club saves.

Outside of sports, Piper has volunteered at a memory care facility for people with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease and has previously volunteered at Rock View Middle School. Coach Missy Eaton says of Piper, “She is a strong player who gives all she has in the goal. She is a true team player and when it all breaks down, she is the last saving grace on the field. She truly mentors the younger goalies and never once objects to helping them grow in their own goalie paths.”
