Students Receive Awards from National Recognition Program

Nine Holy Cross students have been recognized by National Recognition Program of the College Board for their outstanding academic achievement. Alyssa Burgos ’23, Delia Fritz ’23, and Francesca Rios ’24 received the National Hispanic Recognition Award. Isabella Ayalew ’23, Samaa Afoke ’24, Amelia Butler ’23, Blane Makonnen ’23, Somgolie Okoye’23, and Zoe Wilson ’24 received the National African American Recognition Award. They are among 62,000 students who received recognitions.

To be recognized with these awards the students, who self-identified as African American or Hispanic American, have a 3.5 GPA or higher and have scored in the top 10% on the PSAT/NMSQT or PSAT 10 or have scored a 3 or higher on two or more AP Exams. 

Holy Cross recognized the award recipients at an all-school assembly on Wednesday, September 7.
