Spirituality at Holy Cross
The Academy’s mission to develop women of courage, compassion, and scholarship is rooted in Catholicism and links directly with the philosophy of the founder of the Sisters of the Holy Cross, Blessed Basil Anthony Moreau.
“With eyes of faith consider the greatness of your mission and the wonderful amount of good which you can accomplish.”
- Blessed Basil Moreau

Juniors and seniors can join the Campus Ministry Committee (CMC) to assist with liturgies, prayer, and service activities. They help strengthen the faith life of the campus through service.
Seniors may take the Peer Ministry course taught by our Campus Minister. Peer Ministers serve as the student spiritual leaders of the school community, planning and leading Campus Ministry programs.
At Holy Cross, students participate in peer-led retreats that culminate in Kairos, a transformative four-day senior retreat. Through spiritual talks, group discussions, and reflection, our girls deepen friendships, build trust, and learn to live Christ’s message.
Holy Cross fosters spiritual growth with daily prayers and optional lunch activities like group prayer, Reconciliation, and Mass. Senior Peer Ministers assist in Mass, lead retreats, and write morning prayers.
Holy Cross is dedicated to each girl's spiritual growth, offering monthly Mass, weekly Reconciliation, and Mass on Holy Days of Obligation.
