Dave Geiser is entering his 10thy year as the Varsity Volleyball coach (and 1st year as the Freshman Volleyball coach). He led the Tartans to WCAC conference championships in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017. Coach geyser played volleyball at Cornell University and competed in USA Volleyball at the A/AA level for many years. He in the U12 Coordinator for the Montgomery Village Sports Association (MVSA) Volleyball Club and is certified under the USA Volleyball Coaching Accreditation Program. Coach Geiser has coached club volleyball for 15 years at the U12, U13, U14, and U15 age groups and taken 8 teams to compete in the USAV Junior Nationals. Coach Geiser is entering his 3rd year as a teacher in the Science Department at The Academy of the Holy Cross!
Coach Kim Van Lowe is entering her 5th year at AHC. Coach Van Lowe spent her first two years as the JV Volleyball Head Coach and now serves as an Assistant Varsity Coach. The JV team finished 13-5 in 2014 and 12-6 in 2015. Coach Van Lowe played volleyball for the Montgomery Village Sports Association (MVSA) Volleyball Club for ten years starting at the age of 8. She also played for the Watkins Mill High School varsity team for four years. Coach Van Lowe has previous coaching experience with MVSA and has worked in a number of volleyball camps and clinics. She is currently pursuing her Health Information Management degree. During the day Coach Van Lowe works at Pivot Physical Therapy.
Kristen is a Holy Cross alumna and graduated in 2014, where she played on the 2012 and 2013 championship volleyball teams. She then played college volleyball at the University of New England and was the starting setter for four years. Her coaching experience includes Holy Cross volleyball camps and club volleyball in Maine. When Kristen is not coaching, she works for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Engineering Division as an Oceanographic Data Specialist.
Congratulations to Bria Fuller '19 who scored her 1,000th point during the Tartan Varsity Basketball team's game against Elizabeth Seton on Tuesday, January 8. Bria scored 24 points during the game which the Tartans won 62-59. During the 2017-2018 season Bria was awarded the team's Most Valuable Player and was named All-WCAC Third Team.
Family, friends, teammates, President Katy Prebble, Athletic Director Dena Rapoport, and Coach Gray celebrated the accomplishment with Bria.
