2018-2019 Varsity Basketball
Coach Gray was the former Washington Christian Academy Varsity Boys Head resigning in 2016 and then called back to coaching in the same year by Head JV Coach Mark Anthony Jackson.
Coach Gray brings years of experience in play and coaching basketball. Having played in Europe and the United Stated allows Coach Gray the ability to teach the game at all levels. His ability to get the most out of a student-athletes’ playing the sport while providing valuable life lessons that student-athletes can have for a lifetime.
Mark Anthony Jackson is in his third year with AHC as the Head Junior Varsity Basketball coach, as well as, Associate Head Coach for Varsity. Coach “Jax” is a native of the Montgomery County where he attended Paint Branch High School. While at PB, he was a three-year varsity student-athlete in basketball. Played collegiately at Coastal Carolina University and Bowie State University.
Coach Jax currently works at the Federal Aviation Administration. In addition, Jax serves as the Associate Executive Director of Premier Athletic Performance Association (PAPA); there Jax works with student-athlete in human development to improve their mental and physical aspect of sport for life-long skills.
Congratulations to Bria Fuller '19 who scored her 1,000th point during the Tartan Varsity Basketball team's game against Elizabeth Seton on Tuesday, January 8. Bria scored 24 points during the game which the Tartans won 62-59. During the 2017-2018 season Bria was awarded the team's Most Valuable Player and was named All-WCAC Third Team.
Family, friends, teammates, President Katy Prebble, Athletic Director Dena Rapoport, and Coach Gray celebrated the accomplishment with Bria.
