  • Assistant Coach

    Coach Gray was the former Washington Christian Academy Varsity Boys Head resigning in 2016 and then called back to coaching in the same year by Head JV Coach Mark Anthony Jackson.  

    Coach Gray brings years of experience in play and coaching basketball.  Having played in Europe and the United Stated allows Coach Gray the ability to teach the game at all levels. His ability to get the most out of a student-athletes’ playing the sport while providing valuable life lessons that student-athletes can have for a lifetime.

  • Mark Anthony Jackson is in his third year with AHC as the Head Junior Varsity Basketball coach, as well as, Associate Head Coach for Varsity. Coach “Jax” is a native of the Montgomery County where he attended Paint Branch High School. While at PB, he was a three-year varsity student-athlete in basketball. Played collegiately at Coastal Carolina University and Bowie State University.

    Coach Jax currently works at the Federal Aviation Administration. In addition, Jax serves as the Associate Executive Director of Premier Athletic Performance Association (PAPA); there Jax works with student-athlete in human development to improve their mental and physical aspect of sport for life-long skills.

Winter Sports Recognition

On Thursday, March 7, Holy Cross recognized athletes who played on winter sports teams. Each coach presented Most Valuable Player, Most Improved Player, and Tartan awards during the main program and gave individual recognitions in breakout gatherings. Holy Cross especially recognized Coach Kyran Kennedy, who built the Ice Hockey program at Holy Cross beginning in 2011. Athletic Director Dena Rapoport noted that 272 Holy Cross girls have played on the Ice Hockey team. In 2016 the Ice Hockey team won the MAGHL and this year the team took second place in the inaugural WCAC Ice Hockey Championship.
