The Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) has approved a plan to hold our three sports seasons, starting with Winter Sports in December.  Due to jurisdictional restrictions the overall format is subject to delays or cancellations and some schools may have delayed or altered participation.  In order to allow our athletes as many possible play dates, the Conference will not sponsor any Championships this year.  We will share more information in the coming weeks. Below is an outline of the basic calendar. These are very exciting possibilities for our student-athletes. 

SPRING : Crew, Golf, Lacrosse, Poms, Softball, Track & Field

▪️ tryouts/practices- April 12 – April 24 (14 days/12 practices) 

▪️ season- April 26 - June 5 (6 weeks)

Crew:  The Crew team will be run through Capital Rowing this spring. Ms. Rapoport has sent out emails to those students who attended the interest meeting. If you are interested, please email Ms. Rapoport for more details.

Medical Paperwork for Tryouts

In order to tryout for a sport, each student must have the following documentation completed. These forms need to be submitted by Thursday, August 1, 2019. The medical staff at Holy Cross is aware that the physical examination is good for 365 days, so if your daughter has a physical scheduled for after August 1st, please inform Kathleen Clark, Dena Rapoport, or Beth Hagler.

Physical Evaluation and Permission to Treat Forms

(all freshmen/transfer students must have one copy of these forms on file)

  1. Pages 1 & 4 are filled out by the parent/guardian
  2. Pages 2 & 3 are filled out by the doctor.

Baseline Concussion Test

All Students are required to have a new concussion test. Please email Ms. Hagler to set up a time to take the new test. 

If they are new students they must sign up along with the iPad pickup on Dena Mayes sign up genius. If they are returning they can sign up by emailing Ms. Hagler.

If you are unable to complete this test on the scheduled days, please email Ms. Hagler to schedule a time to complete the concussion test.

All medical forms must be submitted BEFORE August 1. Check with Mrs. Clark or Ms. Hagler to confirm that your forms are up to date.

Paperwork can be returned in one of three ways:

  1. Bring hardcopy forms to the front Receptionist's desk on campus. Mark envelope to the attention of Nurse Kathleen Clark or Athletic Trainer Beth Hagler
  2. Mail hardcopy forms to Holy Cross to the attention of Nurse Kathleen Clark or Athletic Trainer Beth Hagler
  3. Email PDF forms to Nurse Kathleen Clark or Athletic Trainer Beth Hagler.
